  31.  Unlicensed copies of WinEdit are 100% fully functional.

  33.  Unlicensed copies of WinEdit have a pesky registration 
  34.  reminder screen that pops up whenever you start the program.

  82.                HOW TO INSTALL WINEDIT

  86.         1) Close down all extraneous Windows applications.  
  87.            (You do have to be in Windows to run SETUP.EXE)

  89.         2) Double-Click on the SETUP.EXE program.

  91.         3) When the setup program asks for a directory, specify initial 
  92.            directory, or accept the given default (C:\WINEDIT).

  98.  WinEdit has on-line support on a number of computer systems.

  100.  First of all, the home of WinEdit is on Compuserve, in the
  101.  WINAPA forum, in the Wilson WindowWare section (#15 currently).  Also
  102.  the latest and greatest downloads are available from DL15 of the
  103.  WINAPA forum.  The Wilson WindowWare section of the WINAPA forum
  104.  is checked on a daily basis, and all questions will be responded to.

  133.  SOFTWARE LICENSE

  135.  WinEdit is not and has never been public domain 
  136.  software, nor is it free software. 
  137.  
  138.  Non-licensed users are granted a limited license to use WinEdit
  139.  on a 21-day trial basis for the purpose of determining 
  140.  whether WinEdit is suitable for their needs.  The use 
  141.  of WinEdit, except for the initial 21-day trial, 
  142.  requires registration.  The use of unlicensed copies of WinEdit,
  143.  outside of the initial 21-day trial, by any person, 
  144.  business, corporation, government agency or any other entity is 
  145.  strictly prohibited.

  147.  A single user license permits a user to use WinEdit
  148.  only on a single computer.  Licensed users may use the
  149.  program on different computers, but may not use the program
  150.  on more than one computer at the same time.

  152.  No one may modify or patch the WinEdit executable files 
  153.  in any way,  including but not limited to decompiling, 
  154.  disassembling, or otherwise reverse engineering the program.

  156.  A limited license is granted to copy and distribute WinEdit

  158.  limitations, and also the following:

  160.   1)    WinEdit must be copied in unmodified form, complete
  161.         with the file containing this license information.

  163.   2)    The full machine-readable WinEdit documentation must
  164.         be included with each copy.

  167.         any other  product with out a specific license to do so

  173.         A) Operators of electronic bulletin board systems (sysops)
  174.            may make WinEdit available for downloading only as
  175.            long as the above conditions are met.  An overall or
  176.            time-dependent charge for the use of the bulletin board
  177.            system is permitted as long as there is not a specific
  178.            charge for the download of WinEdit.

  180.         B) Vendors of user-supported or shareware software approved by
  181.            the ASP may distribute WinEdit, subject to the
  182.            above conditions, without specific permission.  Non-
  183.            approved vendors may distribute Windows Reminder only after
  184.            obtaining written permission from Wilson WindowWare.
  185.            Such permission is usually granted.  Please write for
  186.            details (enclose your catalog).  Vendors may charge a
  187.            disk duplication and handling fee, which, when pro-rated
  188.            to the WinEdit product, may not exceed eight dollars.

  190.         C) Non-profit user groups may distribute copies of the 
  191.            WinEdit diskette to their members, subject to 
  192.            the above conditions, without specific permission.  
  193.            Non-profit groups may collect a disk duplication fee 
  194.            not to exceed five dollars.

  196.   LIMITED WARRANTY

  198.   Wilson WindowWare guarantees your satisfaction with this
  199.   product for a period of 90 days from the date of original
  200.   purchase.  If you are unsatisfied with WinEdit
  201.   within that time period, return the package in saleable
  202.   condition to the place of purchase for a full refund.

  204.   Wilson WindowWare warrants that all disks provided are
  205.   free from defects in material and workmanship, assuming
  206.   normal use, for a period of 90 days from the date of
  207.   purchase.

  209.   Wilson WindowWare warrants that the program will perform
  210.   in substantial compliance with the documentation supplied
  211.   with the software product.  If a significant defect in
  212.   the product is found, the Purchaser may return the
  213.   product for a refund.  In no event will such a refund
  214.   exceed the purchase price of the product.

  216.   EXCEPT AS PROVIDED ABOVE, WILSON WINDOWWARE DISCLAIMS ALL
